Earlier today members of the USC APIFSA Executive Board joined @mayorofla and organizations around Los Angeles that support the AAPI community to kick off Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month and celebrate the dedication of May 3 as AAPI LA Day.
USC APIFSA is one of the advisory board member organizations of the LA Mayor’s AAPI LA Initiative, “an initiative to address the needs and challenges of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Angelenos and provide an outlet for sharing their stories.” We were honored to be at City Hall yesterday and be a part of Mayor Eric Garcetti’s dedication of May 3rd as AAPI LA Day.
